Bronze Age -Wool
An archaeologist visits the Bronze Age and learns how to make woollen cloth. A re-enactor at Butser Ancient Farm shows how to use a spindle, and how to use a loom, creating a set of clothes that are much warmer and more practical than those made from animal skins. This emphasises the importance of sheep in the Bronze Age, even if the old breeds are very different to sheep today.
