'The story's not finished,' says Alex Salmond MSP
If Alex Salmond had won the referendum, Scotland would become a fully independent country in just one year from now.
But although the referendum did not turn out as he had hoped, he is determined his dream shall never die.
"The story's not finished." he told the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's Andrew Marr. "I think the direction [of Scotland] is as near inevitable as anything can be in politics... This election will decide whether it makes progress."
He aims to be among a wave of Scottish Nationalist MPs sweeping into Westminster after the general election and from there, continue the campaign for independence.
