Election economy debate: Highlights
Victoria hosts the first of three special election debates – this time, from Newcastle.
The cost of living, foodbanks, zero hours contracts and the nature of the cuts to come in the next parliament were all raised.
Joining the audience of voters were Matthew Hancock (Conservative Business minister), Toby Perkins (Labour Shadow Small Business minister), Lord Dick Newby (Lib Dem Deputy Chief Whip of the Lords), Andrew Cooper (Green energy spokesman) and Stuart Hosie (SNP Deputy Leader).
