"I was threatened with lynching on social media"
Footballer Jason Brown has suffered racial abuse and death threats on social media, including a tweet that called for his lynching. He told Victoria Derbyshire that although people often say bananas are no longer thrown on the pitch, online abuse is rife. It comes as Kick It Out, football鈥檚 equality and inclusion organisation, reported more than 134,000 abusive social media posts were directed at Premier League footballers and clubs this season.
