Wales Rugby League head coach John Kear says Danny Jones was known throughout the game as 鈥渁 real good fella鈥�.

29-year-old Welsh international Jones died after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest while playing for Keighley Cougars against London Skolars.

Kear said he鈥檇 tried to convince Jones to play for Wales in the 2014 European Championships.

鈥淗e was always a great character around the dressing room and obviously a very good rugby league player, otherwise he wouldn鈥檛 of played international rugby league,鈥� said Kear.

鈥淗e was a half back so he was one of the conductors of the orchestra. He was very creative, very competitive and a really good try scorer and goal kicker鈥� he added.
