VE Day: London's post war housing challenge
After the VE day celebrations were over millions of people were left homeless after Hitler's blitz on the capital. London icon Twiggy, whose family home in Neasden was bombed, takes a journey across the capital to find out how plucky Londoners put a roof over their heads and how the government's rebuilding homes programme changed the landscape forever. She also meets Londoners who recall the impact of the aftermath of the Second World War in the first days of peace.
