Clare and Chris have been best friends for seven years after meeting at a motorbike meet-up. Four years ago, Chris suffered an unexplained cardiac arrest whilst travelling in Thailand - his life was saved by a passer-by who performed CPR. During the episode, Chris suffered a lack of oxygen to the brain and has been left with a brain injury which affects his memory. He now has a defibrillator fitted in his chest but while this has since saved his life twice, it has meant he has had to give up his beloved driving licence. This, and his memory problems have changed Chris' life significantly. While he accepts he is not in as bad a position as many others, and has made great progress, the ripples of his injury are still affecting his life, and friendships.
