Should ear piercing for babies be banned?
More than 28,0000 people have signed a petition asking for a ban on ear piercing for babies and toddlers.
The Labour MP Mark Tami says he will now raise the issue in Parliament.
Critics say sticking a piercing gun through a child's ears is barbaric, inflicting unnecessary pain on youngsters who generally have no say in the
matter.
Victoria Derbyshire also spoke to Lorena Oberg who runs a salon in Surrey that does baby and toddler piercings, Katie Pateman who has two daughters who both had their ears pierced when they were babies and viewer Benni Reader who refused to pierce young children's ears when he worked in a jewellery shop.
