Prostate cancer warning for black men
Black men are twice as likely to develop prostate cancer as any other ethnic group, research by the University of Exeter Medical School has suggested.
A study of around 500 people indicated that one in four black men could expect to suffer from the disease at some point in their lifetime, compared to one in eight among Caucasian men.
The research also showed that 56% of black men would not go to the doctor with symptoms because they would not want to know if they had cancer, compared to 9% of white men.
Former Olympians Colin Jackson and Donovan Bailey joined Victoria to discuss why they are campaigning to get black men to take the disease more seriously.
