Will plans for seven-day GP services work?
GPs have been promised a 鈥渘ew deal鈥 if they sign up to government plans for an extended, seven-day service.
Health secretary Jeremy Hunt鈥檚 proposals include recruiting 5,000 new GPs and another 5,000 support staff, including practice nurses.
Groups of practices would also be expected to pool together to share the extended weekend hours.
Dr Michelle Drage, a member of the British Medical Association's GP committee, Dr Ben Molyneux, a relatively new GP and Dr Rob Barnett, a veteran GP of 27 years joined Joanna Gosling to discuss the plans.
