The plight of the Rohingya community is something that has grabbed media attention recently, with shocking images last month showing hundreds of Rohingya migrants drifting at sea in fishing boats.

Long denied citizenship and freedom of movement by the government of Myanmar (also known as Burma), for decades, hundreds of thousands of Rohingya Muslims have lived in Rakhine State, near Myanmar's border with Bangladesh.

That鈥檚 what happened to Nijam Uddin. He is now 33 years old and lives in Bradford, but he spent nearly 19 years living in a refugee camp in Bangladesh.

He helped set up the Rohingya Survival Foundation, and now campaigns to raise awareness.
