Alec Stewart has claimed Ian Bell, and perhaps Alistair Cook, will pass his England caps record of 133. He has also tipped Bell to try and chase down Cook's Test century record.

Praising Bell's character in light of recent calls for him to be dropped, Stewart said: "He's answered any critics, any questions about his position in the team, which I think were far too premature anyway. And now he's bedded in for the rest of the Ashes series".
