Tristram Hunt: Labour faces 'summer of hard truths'
Shadow education secretary Tristram Hunt says Labour has to face up to some "hard truths" this summer in order to stay relevant.
Speaking to Andrew Marr, he said the party needs to display both "emotional intelligence and economic competence" if it is to regain the trust of the electorate.
While he respects Jeremy Corbyn, he says that if he became Labour leader, the party could return to its position in the early 1980s and wallow in a "comfort blanket of oblivion".
