In the waters between Skye and the mainland creel boats can fish for prawns all year round. Trawlers and dredgers are only allowed in the Inner Sound for six months of the year from the 1st of April. Creel fishermen like Bally fear this time of year when the fishing grounds become so crowded and they risk having their creels towed away by trawlers.
