'Dairy farmers may not survive winter'
How much should you pay for a pint of milk? Farmers say the supermarkets are selling it for less than it costs to produce - and that's forcing some of them out of business. Farming unions have been holding an "urgent summit" to discuss what they say is a crisis. This follows widespread protests by farmers - including clearing shop shelves, blockading distribution centres and even taking cows into supermarkets. Chairman of the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers Ian McAlpine said there was a danger that a lot of dairy farmers would not survive the coming winter.
