Footballer Casey Stoney 'frightened' to come out
One of England's most capped footballers Casey Stoney has been explaining how she felt her sporting profile meant she had a responsibility to tell people she was gay despite being "frightened" to come out.
Giving her first joint interview with her partner Megan Harris - alongside their twins Tilly and Teddy - she said the reaction had been 95% positive with a few negative letters.
She said football was lagging behind other sports and it would send a positive message if a male player were to come out too.
