Trades Union Bill proposals: Serwotka v Hancock
Mark Serwotka, the general secretary of the Public and Commercial Services Union talks about the Trades Union Bill with Cabinet Office Minister Matt Hancock, one of the ministers responsible for it.
The union leader was asked about Jeremy Corbyn winning the Labour leadership contest, and why he opposed the bill, while the minister put the case for the changes proposed by the government.
The bill receives its second reading in the Commons later on Monday, giving MPs a first chance to debate the proposals, which include curbs on picketing and higher voting thresholds for ballots.
