School crime figures revealed
The Victoria Derbyshire programme has discovered that police investigated more than 30,000 crimes linked to schools last year across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
It is the equivalent of 160 crimes every school day.
The figures, which were released under the Freedom of Information Act, shed new light on the extent of crimes in our schools and where they are taking place.
Nicola Beckford reports.
