Will minimum wage rise affect you?
The national minimum wage has increased by 20p an hour benefiting more than a million workers.
The new adult rate is 拢6.70 an hour, the statutory figure for 18 to 20-year-olds will be 拢5.30 (up from 拢5.13), the age for under-18s will go up by 8p to 拢3.87, while the apprenticeship rate will rise by 57p to 拢3.30.
Joanna Gosling spoke to a panel of employers and employees affected by the changes.
