Learning disabilities: A short history of care
Major reforms have been announced by NHS England into the way it treats people who have learning disabilities and autism. Within three years there will be a 50% reduction in the number of specialist hospital beds and a fund will be launched to create community facilities. The move is a response to the abuse scandal at Winterbourne View - where a 麻豆官网首页入口 Panorama investigation exposed the physical and psychological abuse of people with learning disabilities.
