'I was brain damaged after police Tasered me'
A man left with brain damage after being Tasered by police has won a landmark negligence claim against Merseyside Police. James McCarthy had a heart attack after officers used the stun device when a group of men were fighting in Liverpool three years ago. Earlier this week, he won his case against Merseyside Police - the first in the country where police have been held liable for negligence relating to care after the use of a Taser. He told the programme how the memory loss had left him a "completely different person".
