'Womb transplant project has given us hope'
More than 500 women say they want to take part in a trial which will see the first ever womb transplants carried out here in the UK. Doctors were recently given the go-ahead to perform the first 10 operations following success in Sweden. We explained how the procedure works, then met the gynaecologist leading the project and heard how it had given hope to three women who do not have wombs.
