Veterans say what Armistice Day means to them
As the UK has been remembering Armistice Day, when the guns fell silent along the Western Front in Europe, veterans have been describing what it means to them.
Armistice Day follows similar ceremonies on Remembrance Sunday to pay tribute to all those who died in World Wars One and Two, and in every conflict since.
Speaking to the 麻豆官网首页入口's Joanna Gosling were Frank Rosier, who served in World War Two and took part in the D-Day landings, Dr David Jackson, who served with the marines in the Falklands and in Northern Ireland, Mike Lobb, who served in the Gulf War in 1990, and Major Sartaj Singh Gogna, who still serves in the British Army, and who has done tours of Iraq and Afghanistan.
