The United States Soccer Federation has announced plans to stop young players under the age of 10 from heading a football in a move designed to improve player safety.

Steve Berman, the lawyer at the centre of the case, discusses the signifcant development and tells Sport Today that he envisages a future where technology - not managers - will decide if a player remains on the pitch or not.

He thinks athletes aged 18 or under will all wear devices that will indicate if they have suffered too many heavy impacts and need to be removed from the field of play.
