Ex-French Prime Minister: Syria strikes 'will not stop'

Former French Prime Minister Edith Cresson has said that France will "certainly not stop" interventions in Syria against Islamic State (IS) despite a series of devastating terrorist attacks in Paris.

Speaking to 5 live's Rachel Burden, Cresson said she did not think there had been a security failure in France, saying "our security services have already detected other attempts that we have been able to stop".

At least 128 people were killed in an near-simultaneous attacks in Paris. President Francois Hollande has said that this was an "act of war" organised by the Islamic State (IS) militant group.
