How to combat home-grown extremism?
Jo Coburn looked at the UK's approach to tackling home-grown extremism, when she heard from Tory MP Rehman Chishti, Miqdaad Versi from the Muslim Council of Britain and Nazir Afzal, former chief crown prosecutor for north west England.
Mr Versi said the government should engage with a "broad" and "diverse" range of Muslim groups "and not just the ones that agree with what it says" to develop an effective de-radicalisation policy.
Mr Chishti said everyone had a role to play in fighting "this evil ideology", adding that "the more we're united the better we are to defeat it".
Mr Afzal said de-radicalisation could only work with adequate resources, warning that "we are not doing enough with those people who are referred for help".
