As BT celebrates 40 years at Martlesham, the company's Rob Mayhew gives Kate Bradbrook a glimpse into what the future technological advances might bring.
The telecoms giant opened its research centre on the edge of Ipswich in 1975, and since then has helped pioneer development of technology including fibre optics broadband and interactive television.
