Left Unity backs Jeremy Corbyn
Left Unity has said it will suspend plans to stand in elections next year in order to support Jeremy Corbyn. The decision sparked a heated exchange between Labour's Alan Johnson and Simon Hardy from Left Unity. Asked about Left Unity's decision, Mr Hardy said Mr Corbyn was the "best hope " for Labour. But Mr Johnson accused Left Unity of being a "left-wing student union group" and said Mr Hardy had "no place" in Labour.
