How common is online dating fraud?
The organisation Action Fraud says thousands of people have fallen victim to scammers preying on people using dating sites.
Romance fraud is where one person makes another believe they are in love with them, only to exploit the relationship for money.
Victoria Derbyshire presenter Joanna Gosling spoke to George Kidd, chief executive of the Online Dating Association, Wayne May of scamsurvivors.com and Val McKie, who lost 拢8,000 online through a dating scam.
