Should Labour MPs be whipped on Syria?

Ahead of a possible vote on air strikes against so-called Islamic State in Syria, our guests discussed whether Labour MPs should be forced to support party leader Jeremy Corbyn and vote against action.

Labour MP Rupa Huq said there was a good argument for having a free vote, adding the issue was one of "conscience".

Telegraph columnist Dan Hodges said pressure put on Labour MPs to vote against was "shameful" and suggested Mr Corbyn had "misjudged" the mood in the shadow cabinet.

Journalist Rachel Shabi said the Conservatives had "failed" to make a compelling case for strikes and said the debate was about more than just the Labour Party.
