Oldham West by-election preview
On Thursday the polls open for a by-election in the constituency of Oldham West and Royton, which the long-serving left-wing Labour MP Michael Meacher represented until his death in October.
The ballot will prove the first electoral test of Jeremy Corbyn's leadership of the Labour Party.
