A cyclist who lost a leg when she was hit by a skip lorry has explained why she hugged and forgave the driver.

Victoria Lebrec, 25, only survived the crash a year ago because of pioneering medical treatment at the roadside.

The skip driver admitted careless driving and was fined 拢750 and given five penalty points.

Victoria described meeting the driver for the first time.

鈥淲e ended up having a really long hug, which was really emotional but really nice鈥�, she said.
