Ken Livingstone on Labour reshuffle fallout

Ken Livingstone has challenged Jeremy Corbyn's Labour critics as the fallout from the shadow cabinet reshuffle continues.

The former London mayor told the Daily Politics there had been a "wave of backstabbing" by a "disaffected little group of uber-Blairites". The parliamentary Labour Party was "well to the right" of the membership, he added.

Three shadow ministers resigned over Mr Corbyn's changes to his top team.

Thursday's guest of the day, crossbench peer Lord Hennessy, said a process of "genetic modification" was under way in Labour.
