When Ben was about 8 or 9 years old, one of the most thrilling places to explore was the old ruins of Grace Dieu Priory near Thringston in the north of the county. Not only where they in beautiful countryside, but more importantly to a 9 year old, they were also haunted, or so we were told.

It's always been one of his favourite places, but by the early 2000's the ruins had got into a pretty parlous state which is why ten years ago the Friends of Grace Dieu got stuck in to save them.

Ben popped over there this morning to see how they're getting on.
