Gun victim's 'life-changing' injuries
A successful businessman shot through a door in his mansion by intruders has suffered "significant life-changing" injuries, police have said.
Armed raiders broke into The Old Rectory in Sible Hedingham, Essex, in the early hours of Saturday.
The unnamed victim, in his 40s and remains in an undisclosed hospital.
Det Ch Insp Stephen Jennings, from Essex Police's serious crime directorate, said the victim's leg had been "operated on and he will take some time to recover".
