A man who set up a crowdfunding effort for the medical fees of his friend, who is seriously ill in hospital in Las Vegas, says the response has been "overwhelming".

Dr Sebastian Kola-Bankole, broke his neck and suffered extensive injuries when he was pulled under a lorry.

Without insurance he faces a hospital bill of over 拢300,000.

His friend Pav Sarai set up a crowdfunding campaign which has already raised 拢120,000.
