Scottish Power Renewables has announced it now has the money to finance a huge wind farm off the coast of Lowestoft.

Work on the 拢2.5bn East Anglia One project will start next year and should provide enough energy to power 500,000 homes once it starts operating by 2020, the company says.

Managing director Jonathan Cole says it is the first of four bigger projects in the pipeline for the region, which could bolster the site's operational base in Lowestoft for up to 30 years.
