TV protection given to MPs (but not royals)

Former MP Tom Harris says Parliamentary broadcasting rules should be relaxed to allow more programmes to poke fun at politicans at work.

He said the 30-year-old rule, brought in when Parliament was first televised, gave MPs a "special protection" that is not even available to the royal family.

He spoke to Daily Politics presenter Jo Coburn, UKIP MP Douglas Carswell and Labour MP Mary Creagh about calls to reform the rules.
