Green MP Caroline Lucas defended her party's decision to campaign for EU membership when she appeared on the Daily Politics.

Ms Lucas said she disagreed with Green peer Baroness Jones that opposition to the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) should mean severing ties with Brussels.

But UKIP MEP and guest of the day Steven Woolfe said the EU was an "anti democratic organisation" and the UK should leave.
