Libraries, Girls Football & Leicester City Beer

The 麻豆官网首页入口 has learnt that the number of paid library staff employed by councils in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland has almost HALVED in the last 6 years.

There are currently 241 employed across the area, compared to 559 in 2010. In Leicestershire, there's been a large increase in the number of volunteers - as dozens of smaller libraries have been handed over to the local community. 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio Leicester's Giles Taylor has been to Anstey library, which was taken over by local residents in October last year.

We know that Leicester City's story is capturing the imagination across the world.

But is it having an effect at a grassroots level? And will the Foxes inspire the next generation of aspiring footballers? The 麻豆官网首页入口's Phil Mackie went along to meet the Year 5 & 6 girls at Mountfields Lodge Primary in Loughborough.
