Tory MP on PIP: 'This is their lifeline'

Conservative MP Johnny Mercer said his party needs to communicate its policy on Personal Independence Payments (PIP).

He told Andrew Neil he was a "compassionate Conservative" and PIP was dealing with the "most vulnerable group in society" and there was a need to make sure the money went to the right people.

There is pressure on George Osborne to rethink 拢4bn in cuts to disability benefits with some Tory MPs expressing concerns about their impact.
