Master and Maverick uses great clips from the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Television archive to tell the story of maverick composer Peter Maxwell Davies. Tom Service follows Max's journey from his radical origins in the 1950s and sixties, to his later life on his adopted home in the Orkney Islands and his surprise appointment as Master of the Queen’s Music in 2004. Here the composer explains how he was commissioned to write the signature tune for the Eighties Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú 2 music series ‘Music in Camera’.
