Instead of giving up chocolate as a New Year's resolution, Suffolk artist Kate Batchelor decided to begin a "2016 sketch a day challenge".
Kate, who says she paints mainly marine and wildlife subjects, has visited a number of places on the coast to capture scenes.
When the weather's not so good, she moves indoors to sketch alternative images of life in the county.
The recent visit of Storm Katie didn't put her off, as one of her sketches of the North Sea illustrates.
