Iain and Karen: Baby Alarm
A couple with chronic fatigue syndrome wonder if raising children is a step too far. Sleep deprivation is a serious issue for any new parents but those early bleary eyed days are soon forgotten when the children grow up. But when you both have chronic fatigue syndrome and cerebral palsy, and the thought of owning a dog is too exhausting to consider, then being continually run off your feet by your kids is an alarming prospect. Karen feels her life would be unfulfilled by being childless, and they both agree that whatever the future holds in store for them, their children will be pretty independent, because they'll have to learn to do some things by themselves.
