MP 'pressing' for city railway station to open 'as soon as possible'
Cambridge's MP says he will keep "pressing" Network Rail to keep on track with the building of the much-delayed Cambridge North railway station, as the project reaches its half-way point.
The station, which will serve the city's thriving science and business parks, was due to open in 2015, but it will now not open until May 2017 at the earliest.
Daniel Zeichner, Labour, said he is "frustrated" at the delays and is "determined to get the station in place as soon as possible".
Network Rail said it is confident it will be completed on time and budget.
