Dan Holley explains Sunday night's thunderstorm
The region's sky was alight on Sunday night as thunderstorms made their way across East Anglia.
Weather forecaster Dan Holley takes a look at why the region was affected by the heavy showers and lightning as the storms moved north across the English Channel and affected parts of south-east England before moving to Essex and Suffolk.
They were at their most intense over the south-east half of Suffolk, including Ipswich and Woodbridge with the highest reported rainfall at Wattisham, near Stowmarket, where 14mm of rain was recorded between 19:00 and 01:00.
