Would leaving the EU affect us environmentally?

Air quality, recycling, renewable energy targets, wildlife protection: all are subject to EU law.
When it comes to environmental policy our membership of the EU has had a huge influence.
For instance water quality is now regulated by a variety of EU laws. So what, if anything, might change if we voted to leave?
