Colchester murders 'horrendous'
The "horrendous murders" of two people in Colchester will leave the public "shocked" they could have been committed by somebody so young, police said.
James Fairweather, 17, was found guilty of murdering James Attfield and Nahid Almanea in 2014 following a two-week trial at Guildford Crown Court.
Assistant Chief Constable Steve Worron, from Essex Police, said: "I think the public as a whole will be shocked and surprised that somebody so young could carry out two such horrendous murders.
"I don't think either family will ever truly be able to recover from what's happened."
