Preview of Newmarket's new Heritage Centre
The new National Heritage Centre for Horseracing and Sporting Art in Newmarket, which is due to open in the autumn, has opened its doors to the press for a preview.
The project involves the restoration and adaption of the historic Palace House and Stables site.
Built by Charles II, it's reputed to be the oldest racing stables in the country.
When complete, the centre will offer a new home for the National Horseracing Museum, the restoration of
the racing palace of Charles II, and the first ever national gallery of British Sporting Art.
