Depression and Rage: When a World Cup Dream Became a World Cup Nightmare
Former New Zealand international Ben Sigmund talks openly about his depression and "rage" at the 2010 World Cup. After playing in nearly all of the qualifiers, he didn't play a single minute at the tournament.
Meanwhile, his baby son was fighting for his life, thousands of miles away.
But Ben picked himself up, fought his way back into the All Whites team, and later overcame disgrace to retire as one of his country's most popular footballers.
And all this, after initially quitting football for rugby union!
